March 29, 2013
We wake-up 4:00 am and prepare for our morning tour to Kiltepan viewpoint for sun rise viewing.
Sun appear 6:10 am exactly from the sea of clouds.
Then we descend and have our lunch at Sagada Homestay (suggested by the driver)
After breakfast we proceed to Bomod-ok falls and arrived there 9:00 am.
A registration fee of P500 for 6 pax
They offer free use of trekking pole
Start our trekking to Big Falls a.k.a. Bomod-ok Falls
We pass by villages and rice terraces until we arrived in the falls by 10:00 am (due to heavy traffic of large crowd of tourist).
We plunge and enjoy the cold water
By 12:00 we left the fall and proceed to another village were we will be pick-up by our rented van.
By 12:45 we arrived in the covered court and waited for a few minutes until the arrival of our van.
We try the halo-halo since the sun is up and we dried up walking in the rice fields.
We went straight to our accommodation to wash-up properly and then ate our late lunch in Alapo’s kitchenette by 3:00 pm.
At last! We found a REAL food in Alapo’s. We try their Sinigang, Bicol Express and Sisig and it taste all GOOD! The rice also tastes Real (not like Masfarre & Sagada Homestay).
By 4:15 pm we visit some souvenir shops since we will depart Sagada early tomorrow
By 4:30 pm we started our Eco Tour. Due to rain and our late registration, the trail is slippery so the guide suggests that we take the hanging coffin tour rather than the whole Eco tour which consist of Underground River and bokong falls in addition to hanging coffin. We agree! (Due to muscle pain after the long trek to Bomod-ok falls).
St. Mary’s Episcopal Church
We rest for a while and enjoy the view of the cloud formation in front of us.
We continue our souvenir hunting.
And had our late dinner again in Alapo’s kitchenette
End of our Day 2 in Sagada
