After our previous Mt Ugo climb, we promise to each other that we will always be together in climbing (literally side by side). Meaning, we will wait for each other while in the trail until we reach our destination. In Mt. Apo, I was surprise that Jhe leave me while were heading to the summit of Mt Apo from Lake Venado. At first, I was irritated because he carries our trail food & water and left me in the middle of the trail. Mt Apo’s known for its slope ascending to its peak. I found it difficult (altitude & slope) and as well with other climber. Every now & then I take a short rest to catch-up with my breath.
Finally, we reached one of its peaks. Again, I was surprise when I saw Jhe waiting for me with an A4 size of tarpaulin in his hand. And our fellow trail adventours participants were capturing every moment (Erika, Jop & Gles).

In the middle of our boyfriend-girlfriend relationship we planned to be wed in 12-12-12. By January 2012, we started to research & canvass for wedding suppliers without having a formal wedding proposal. It never occurred in my mind that we need a wedding proposal since we are in our 8th year relationship. I was surprised by Jhe’s effort: Wedding proposal in Mt Apo. He planned all along and I didn’t even notice. Our plan is to have prenup pics which were change eventually since the weather condition in top & large crowd is not suitable to change outfit & pose in cheesy manner.
Again, I was surprise when I arrived in the summit. Laugh, cry, laugh again & fell in love all over again. Jhe did not say a single word, he just post the tarpaulin in his hand and let me read every word. Will I say YES? Definitely yes!
